Kitten Help :(

My cat had kittens a while back, they got there eyes open about a week or so ago, out of 4 kitties 3 are fine, the fourth seems to have googoos in its eyes that stick them partially closed.
Other than carefully cleaning them with a warm damp cloth any one know any tricks to clear them up easier?

I think they are still traveling

I was hoping someone had some idea

help. Interesting side note, I just went out to grap another beer from the little fridge ouside, a raccoon was up eating cat food, and as soon as I walked out it jumped down catching the mama cat attention, its running for the door left open a crack, and she jumps down from the nursery and gloms onto the sow coons back like hell wouldn't have it,hopefully it won't come back or send in possums.
I tolerate raccoons, but possums are evil nasty critters and I wont have them coming around.
Brady needs a dawg that lives out here since they can't have one at the house in town

Agreed on the nasty possums, Doug. That's hilarious about your cat stomping the coon!

Hey, coons make nice pets; get Brady a coondawg!

Hehehehe.....yes, that was 6-7 years ago. ME raised that coon, "Rocky", from a wee babe, complete with 'round the clock bottle feedings. He was so much fun and very lovable. Unfortunately, when he grew up "The Call of the Wild" was too much for him and he escaped to the forest.

Doug, Maine Coon (cats) are super. I've had two of them, big old Toms, and they were great.

I don't know how I missed this thread! LOL

Doug, the only thing I've ever done with kittens with "goopie" eyes is warm water wipes. You have to keep at them though, like several times a day. I find it's best if you can get them fairly cleaned up and then get Momma to bathe/lick the kitten's face to keep it that way.

I have also wiped them down with watered down peroxide on a soft cloth, followed by just warm water wipe down. My grandmother use to use watered down vinegar, as it kills the bacteria. (I'm sure Cynthia won't approve of these remedies )

Thanks for the thoughts Louise, I can do the warm wipe thing but prolly not as often as needed. This is mama cats first litter and she hasn't figured it all out yet

Doug did you still want help on this. Cynthia is working today and tomorrow and we have a SCUBA refresher tonight. She can probably help you out on Saturday if you need it.

I'll show her this thread tomorrow Doug.

You'll need to hold the kittens closer to the monitor to be in shot range though.
