I don't believe prevention of cloning should stand in the way of science; it does not, in my opinion, interfere with religion, and it should not be up to the government to regulate science in most cases, and I cannot speak intelligently on this.
My son wrote a wonderful paper on this and on stem cell science, which is paying a huge chunk of his way through college - biochemistry - if he had the time to write, I'd love to read his thoughts here on this discussion.
If cloning can save lives, cure diseases, repair parts, then why are we allowing subjective reasoning and religious opinion to prevent it? And yes, I believe in one God, etc.
~Shirley -- imho, and uneducated at that.
