Work was much better today. Yesterday I had the unfortunate task of trying to help someone select the just the right text so that it would cost only 30¢. Of course, she was talking on her cell while she was pointing to what she wanted. When I had touble with it, I heard her say to the person on the phone "she's so stupid she can't understand what I want". Soo..I managed to keep my composure but said, "it would be a lot easier if you weren't on the phone. She continued.."Besides..it's your job". And no she didn't want the header or the footer,..... She made quite a point to be a regular demanding witch. I have experienced much worse, but thank goodness, it's not often like that.
So that's my gripe for the day.

I think she was talking into a mirror when she said that. The Good Librarian who kept her composure definitely won that battle of wits.
Dealing with people in the public is very enjoyable and you meet so many interesting people but there are sometimes nasty crabs in every tank.

Why is it that people feel using a cell phone while doing something else elavates them to special status? Oh they are "special" alright

Thanks for your comments, Dick and Doug. In a word, she was self-centered and incredibly rude. I agree with you, Dick. Most of the time I meet good people who are interesting, from all sectors of society.
