I dunno, I'll have to start working out now to get even a 250 lb cleaned pig into the pit...
besides, unless it is domestic and "fixed", i'd rther have a smaller, tenderer, juicier pig.

Nope as I recall from reading the web its a .50 handgun, if I was facing a hog that size I am thinkin something in 50 BMG semi auto like Barrett.
I have taken feral boars with a 44 mag, in thick brush, on the ground rather than on horse back, and trust me a 300# boar is exciting enough

Story is that it was a domestic hawg and sold to some kind of 'game farm' for people to shoot. Sorta like shooting fish in a barrel. That thing is probably full of more steroids than a whole NFL team.

That is no Domestic pig
They run wild down there & 3-600 pounders are fairly common
Last "record" was around 800 lbs estimated. The guy killed it to keep it out of his fields, they destroy crops
So he simply dug a trench & buried it, took a pic before doing so
These guys (kid) found this one & had it weighed after killing it
The KID shot it with a special .50 pistol if I remember right
