Is Altoids ok for a dog?
Yesterday I caught Casey (the dog, not the mod) chewing on a rat. Well his breath isn't exactly as fresh as a spring rain now. What do you give a dog to freshen his breath?
Please hurry.

He hasn't been on the pool cover lately but that could change at any time. Right now his new thing is to steal food off of the kitchen counter, and he's tall enough to do it with ease. And he seems to like the taste of Christmas ornaments.

try working with a dog that is 28" at the withers! Fezzik is able to rest his head on any table in the house! he has rules for when he can get near the table. they all involve nobody sitting at it. the fun of the first year.
WOW!!! i am always amazed at how fast dogs grow!! does not look like a pup anymore.

Yep he's growing fast. We love this dog like nothing else. And he loves us too. Especially now that he's had a doggie breath mint.

Rick, just curious which one you used that worked best for you... That's always a good thing to know. The ones I posted above have always worked well for me, but I haven't tried anything else recently...

One way to work that part out is to use "Snap Traps" under /near a food "offering" ,mostly a mouse trap ,with a large "paddle" attached to the "working" part of the trap, he sets off the trap, it snaps, flips , make a startling noise etc. impossible to hurt him with it,,,,might work when you are not around,,,,
and/or you can work with him (you got a choke collar, right?)put him on it, take him over to a "set-up" food offering,,,kinda coerce him to check it out/jump up to eat it, have the other person, (the one he really listens to/disipliner(sp) ) at the time he jumps to check out the food, (let him ,first time get "in/at" the food) firm ,controlled yank back, bordering on a recoil yank backwards, but not THAT hard,,, along with a FIRM "NO"! at the same time as the correction,,,,pretty much the same deal as with the pool cover deal,,,,see ,,,,it's not all that hard,,,

I got the Breath-eze chewable breath mints and 4 Mint Dental Rings. I should have read the packaging on the dental rings because you're only supposed to let them chew on them for thirty minutes them throw them away. He was tearing it up after about ten minutes and trying to eat it which they're not supposed to do. They did have Nyla-bone in the dental department but they were the tarter reducing kind and not for breath. I'll try a different store tomorrow but the breath mints seemed to do the trick for now.
