If an object was 100% non-reflective it is a bad thing, especially if it were created on earth.
formula breakdown:
If an object/surface/material/ect... had the capability to absorb 100% of the spectrum of light, it would create a 'gravity well'. Causing a point of infinite acceleration. (a black hole) Ending life on our planet in a couple seconds, give or take a few nanoseconds.
This is only theory, as we have not been able to create a 100% black object to prove it, however... do we really want to do it to say "haha I told you so"???

nah... this would only absorb light... remember that light only has the power to propel matter in a weightless environment, and even with that it is really slow.
besides, you could stop it's evil powers by turning off the light

yea but your going to see waves in matter when the invisible object moves... not to mention heat signatures from invisible humans + nightvision could see it..

remember, concentrate only on one range of em energy (VISIBLE LIGHT)... we can visibly still see stealth aircraft, and even stealth vehicles (a far as I know) still have a very small radar signature, so I would not be too worried about having a heat signature or a radar signature if I was invisible at the visible light range...

So its not just me
Back on topic, We all agree that "stealth" technology" depends on deflecting radar waves and masking thermal signatures of engines, but all of the publicly acknowledged stealth planes and vehicles are visible in daylight to the naked eye. Given the need for improved stealth in todays world the next step would be something that absorbs light or bends it in such a way that what is there will not appear to be there. personally I think we are a lot closer than anyone will admit

That's pretty good Vinnie!
Now, if we could just get everyone else on the same wavelength, I think they would be much closer to understanding the concept. You know, we could start posting our jokes like this in margaritaville and not have to worry about getting them censored...
I think they did something like this in WWII
