Thank you for the input all.

We went to look at a female German Shepherd puppy yesterday.

She glued herself to us, so we just had to bring her home.

Hopefully I'll get to sleep through the night again soon

(cleaning up Poo at 2:30 AM is such fun)

my wife got a puppy last summer (a little palpion)

I remember those up every 2 hours to let her outside all to well
in-fact, for her B-day present, I sent the puppy to my sisters house for the night

congrats, and don't make us get the squirrel out!

That very thing makes me very glad Kodi is such a big freaking dog - bigger bladder means more sleep for the puppy parents

yes, but a 5 lb dog peeing in the house is a lot different than a 80 lb dog peeing in the house

The breeder has been breeding German Shepherds for about 35 years.

The parents both looked good and "natural" shaped.
(looks like a normal German Shepherd Dog)

The Dad is about 100 lbs, and her mother is about 70 lbs.

Here she is at 7 weeks.

Sweet pup, Harry! Very alert and intelligent face. She should be a great addition to the household (after the chewing and house-breaking phases pass, of course.)

I love Shepherds. Last one I had was more of a daughter than a dog.

Dick

I must love her since she has kept me up the last two nights.
Though last night was not as bad as the first night.

Taking her out when it is 20F in the middle of the night is just so fun

She just learned to walk up the back steps this morning,
so that makes like a little easier to take her out and in.

She is half house broken already, #2 is outside, still working on #1 a liltle.
