So the day started off pretty slow and I thought I would take some pics. Unfortunately there was a fire in the area and things were a little hazy before the sky clouded up and rained.

Speaking of fire, here are some pics of the helo:

Here are some shots of a little place I go and hide when the supervisors are in a bad mood. The colors started changing this week. I wish the sun would have been out today:





Here I had the BEST shot of a fox, until I got the lens cap off and he hid on me... You may still be able to see the fox if you look hard:


A cool little stream that feeds into the Crystal river:

The only wildlife I could find today. it was odd not seeing any bear, elk or deer. I guess that was a good indication of the weather we are getting tonight:










And the best for last. Not the best picture, but this is the view when I work this area of the county!

Nothing better at work today either, but the sun was out and the haze from the fire was gone, so I snapped some pics from close to the same places

Thanks... I'm guessing that the elevation where I'm standing is about 8,000 feet.

This mountain is just under 13K:


The pic is deceptive as I'm taking pics from on top of another mountain with a large valley in between The other pics are part of the mesa and valley that I'm standing on for this pic.
