Highschool JROTC Donations

This may be "out of line", but maybe not. My daughter is in the JROTC and drill team. I am in the process of building the team an equipment trailer to carry their equipment to drill meets which take place in Washington and Oregon. Due to budget cuts in the school and Army funding, I am building this trailer from my own funds. I am reaching out to "fellow reefers" for a little help if possible. We are about $200-$300 short of finishing this project. The idea was to surprise the team on our next trip to Yakima WA, which happens to be Valentine's day. This is my first year being involved the JROTC kids and have found it VERY rewarding to work kids that know how to show respect. Dale, not a problem, good to see someone still interested in ROTC, I thought "they" had managed to get it banned . I dont have much but I would like to help, hopefully some of the othe OR/Wash reefers will pitch a buck or two

Hmmmm.....I was kinda hoping for a little more support, especially from the Oregonians who know what this state has (and is doing) to the educational system. They are cutting all of the programs which help keep our kids out of trouble and on the right track. These kids go to school every morning at 6am and practice their routines, they also perform at many funerals and veteran events, as well as hundreds of hours of community sevice hours. Anyway, I could go on and on about this program and these kids. I know in this day in age, it is hard to trust that people are infact honest about their requests for donation, I dont know how to prove it to you that I am genuine in, so I will just leave it up to you to do what your heart says. Remember....its for the kids!!!

PS, I have actually considered selling my tank to finsih this project for them, I really hope it never comes to that!!

Dale I am waiting to get a mileage check back, but I would be happy to donate $20. I know what ya mean , the school thing as well as the state budget I suspect will get uglier before it gets better
