I salute you for those 20 years of service, Eric!
Enjoy the air show in your honor.

Amy I know I am not Cath but here are a few suggestions. Has Connor read any of the Hank the Cowdog books by John R. Erickson, both the kids really liked those. Also Rob really liked Red Rock Mysteries by Chris Fabry, Jerry B. Jenkins. Here are a few more the kids like and said they think Connor could read: The Land of Elyon By Patrick Carman, Elijah Creek & The Armor of God By Lena Wood, Kidnapped by Gordon Korman, Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney, and May-Bird by Jodi Lynn Anderson.
Connor sounds like Rob. Rob can sit down with a 300+ page book and finish it in a day or a few hours if he really wants to read it and he will read 3 and 4 books at the same time. I have know idea how he keeps them all straight.
Good evening everyone. Hope everyone has had a good day

Good evening, everyone I don't know what happened to the thread I started this AM, but it's nowhere to be found. I even had strawberry shortcake to offer for breakfast.

That's huge, Doug!
Stacy - that's a good list of books for Connor. Now that I think about it, I do recognize more than I thought at first. Since I deal mostly with adult and a sometimes YA books, I don't know a lot of children's titles. My boss and I made up a list: Warrior series by Erin Hunter, Wrinkle in Time by L'engle, adventure books by Will Hobbs, Bridge to Terabethia by Paterson.
I better go to bed. Adopt-a-Hwy in the AM.

Wow Cath you sure are busy volunteering.
I got a new modem to switch DSL to another service and they sent only a modem without a router or wireless. The router I bought will not work despite lots of trying, so it is going to be one of those USB jobs off the main computer tomorrow.
Cynthia is dragging me up to Monument early so she can ultrasound a tech's dog, then we need to get the house pristine for the crab boil Sunday.
Lots to do..hope rest comes easy this eve. Hope you all have a tremendous weekend!!

Rob is reading the Maximum Ride books by Patterson but I think it is a different Paterson. I think those might be a little to big yet for Connor. Rob loves books by Ted Dekker but I really think those are to big for Connor.

I am going to be up for a bit I think even though I wish I was in bed. Eric is helping the lady a crossed the street. A pip in her basement bursted and the floor had about 2" of water on it when Eric noticed something was wrong. Her house is for sale and she has an open house on Sunday.
