Halloween weekend

Morning everyone. Off to HD to rent the thingy that we are going to use to grade our upper pasture so the rain will drain off a little better.

I'll post up some before and after pictures.

Good morning, Perry, Vinnie, and everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Vinnie. There's a huge breakfast ready. Hot apple cider, poached eggs, English muffins, and loaded grits casserole (one with sausage, one without).

Perry - make sure you get the right thingie so that you don't have to go back to HD. Though sometimes going back there is fun.

Calling all photos of kids in costume. Doug - I'm looking forward to Brady's get up as a Fed Ex Man with truck.

Happy Halloween, Gang!

Careful with that machinery, Perry. I'm not qualified for anything more sophisticated than a shovel.

Same kind of weather here, Vince.

Went okay Doug. The bucket didn't do that much good, so I put the regular lifting attachment on front and it worked perfect as a leveler and lowered all the high spots and filled the low spots. It still needs a trench or two, but this should be drain better.

The lower pasture looks great now and Cynthia did eight million laps seeding it.

The feeding pasture was a mess and uneven. Things are pretty tidy now, but it will take some rain to check my work. Should have taken a before picture.

Still plugging away at Intership stuff. Final list includes sites in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Colorado, Arkansas, Tennesee, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Florida,Ontario, British COlombia, and Hawaii. The hawaii one is a program that matches my research well but the pay sucks for such a high cost of living.... but it's a year in Hawaii. Of course it is entirely possible that I don't get any of these... they are expecting 20% more applicants than positions this year if not more.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

He's obviously thrilled.
