I always stock up on GOOD candy for the Trick or Treaters....but we never get any, so I end up eating it myself

Hun! We better get more candy, I don't want to run out!

I'm usually buying/ordering/planting fall bulbs right now
Last year I ordered over 5000 bulbs, I spent an entire weekend + planting them. But the garage construction was delayed so I am putting my energy into Halloween

Must....stay...away....from....stores

Another couple hundred....
Scored (3) 1200w constant foggers w/fog juice for $15 each
Then another VE 920 600w model
I have to "hide" them before the wife comes home
Then some pumpkin leaf bags, 4 plastic pumkins for my solar lights
A flaming skull, more bulbs for the window candles
And 1/2 dozen masks to setup some figures outside

Good old Building #19 had somne good deals

Then I found a DVD at IParty (ITZAParty?)
You play the DVD on the TV, but use a reflection in acrylic for viewing
There is a "tame" version & full version - lasts 1 hour - just keep it looping
It makes it look the image is flaoting in air. They were playing it at the store, looked pretty good - only $10
I already have sheets of acrylic

http://www.bigscreamtv.info/tv_tricks.html

You can also make your own VHS/DVD movie - they tell you how!!
But the make-up & time its worth it to buy the DVD
But - you could do this real time & make live comments about people as they are at your door

I'll have to wait for the sales after Halloween for the really good stuff

Last stop was K-Mart, seems like most stores do not have a lot of decorations.
Another ghost that flies back & forth on a 25' wire
A blow up 8' spider
Dual skull ghoul that hangs & is motion activated
I think I'm done...unless they have a sale

I have this kind, they are selling on E-Bay for $25-50, the eyes light up too
I'm going to use flame flicker bulbs in my Christmas candles for the windows. I'll see how that looks, maybe change to orange bulbs if the flame look isn't that great
And this way I just leave them up & change to a white/green bulb for Christmas. That means I won't have to open the windows in cold weather to secure the candles. I used some alum strips that I cut & molded.
One end I rolled up, this then goes up inside the candle
I then bend the remaining flat stock so that it fits under the window sash
All the candles are now held securely in place
The wife doesn't know I now have 5 fog machines
The wife is going to Benny's this week to pu another ghoul/tombstone if they have it & it is big enough

I'm just getting started
Once the garage is built I want to create a small Haunted house that people can walk thru. I guess it depends upon if we get more trick or treaters in the next 2 years
The lights & decorations seem to draw more people
I'll have to take some pics this year, but some of what I have:
The 1st 2 fly back & forth on 25' of rope
Last one dangles & rattles chains

If I get some energy this summer I may build this fence for next Halloween
This fence comes apart & is stored every year

Close up of fence tops. PVC makes up the fence
The gargoyles on top were DIY too!!
