I"ll share my secret little rattle box that scares the bajeebers out of everyone, every year, every time! The most important part after doing it one year, you have to get creative on where to hide the haunt because people WILL be looking for it next Halloween. I hear them walking up the sidewalk every Halloween, "where is that red box?!?".
First year I did it, nobody thought much of an old metal tool box sitting by the sidewalk. What they didn't know, it was controlled by an X10 power remote control. Inside the box was an orbital sander laying on its side with the extension cord hidden. Remote control in the pocket of me or a helper. You can use other power tools, but nothing puts out the instant obnoxious noise and rattle like a palm sander in a metal case..plus they're small so fit is easy. As soon as they walk by, hit remote and watch them jump as a group! Sometimes even get them from across the street!

The next year, I hid it in some tall ornamental grass with 2 500w halogen shop lights to shine at them when the rattle started...Got them even more.

Next Halloween, I setup a freestanding dog kennel/fence with a sign stating "beware, don't open cage" with a blanket curled up in the corner. I left the door ajar! Curiosity got the best of everyone and people would hunch over to see what was in there on the bed...ZAP!

Next year it will probably go in the bed of the truck. Maybe under a pile of leaves, or bury it in the grass in front of a tombstone.

It's only a succesful Halloween when I hear kids cry, teenagers refuse to come up to our garage, and parents that even hesitate and hide behind their kids. 2 years ago a lady admited to my wife that she had a weak bladder and I caused a release fom within my coffin when she got to close and blasted her with my air hose.

I thought they were only $150, no way I'd pay that
With Christmas stuff I'm running out of room too
I need to build my garage
This year I will finish the pool cabana & the green house
That will give me some storage, but not a lot

My Christmas display went from 15,000 lights & 3 blow molds to
80,000 lights & over 115 blow molds
Animation & music for 2007!!

We ordered the book and are making a corpse couple to grace the table for Halloween at the Manor House. Also, Michelle wants the ghost that climbs over the gate really bad but the price is out of this world.

The first project is making the mausoleum and the frame and panels are easy but each 4 x 8 plastic skin with fieldstones is 60 bucks...any ideas?

the skeleton can be made!!! and cheap.. need an air compressor though..

I bought 2 dozen orange LED's for Halloween
For Halloween I'm going to put up red & blue LED's as part of the show
I have a ~100' Oak that I am wrapping 24' up with blue LED net lights
- the 1st branch starts around 20' off the ground
Then I have another 20 strings of blue LEDS for the branches

All the red & blue lights will stay up for Christmas show
