Guess who's getting a rotty!

Going to look at him this weekend but I am sure I will love him. Him and his sister were abandoned at my mother's neighbor's house. She is a foster parent for a animal rescue group. They are 6 weeks old so I may have to wait to bring him home, not sure. The $100 adoption fee includes the adoption, vaccinations, nueturing, and heart guard. My rotty was stolen a few years ago and have wanted another ever since.

My parent's raised airdales. They still have one. Now they are raising the welsh terrier(mini version). Just got two pups. So in about 2 years they will be breeding.

Thats AWFUL Jena. Im sorry.

Good luck with the new one.

I dont love most dogs, but a rot would be at the top of my list were I to get one.

Many of the coolest dogs Ive ever known were rottys.

Smart too. Of all the dogs I have had he was the only one truley house broken. Had to work late and when I came home he was circling the door. I felt so bad! Most people couldn't believe I kept a dog that size inside, but I was pregnant and hubby worked second shift so it made me feel better knowing he was with me.

They are the best! All mine ring a bell that is strung from the door knob that they hit with their nose to tell us they need to go out.Good luck! One of my Rotties(Kahlua) was a rescue and would come over and give both a kiss and let us know she never forgot what we did for Her

He would just bark. And if I didn't come, he'd come get me. I like the doorbell idea tho.

You will love your new Rottie!!!!!! Be easy on stairs, as it's bad for their hips, other than that, they are the ONLY dog for me and my family. Ironically I just picked up "Tar" from the vet tonight, as she had a non cancerous tumor removed from her left front paw. Unfortunately they had to take her index pad and toe off. She will be back to new in about 10-14 days or so, but must take it easy till then. Here is a picture of TAR from last year, she is going on 12!!! Now, and is not slowing down a step(yes I know long for a Rott), but our last one was 18!!! When we had to put her down. Bye the way order a "Kong" medium size will do for now, it is a must for a Rott! If you EVER have any questions at all about your pup let me know, I've had them my whole life. A greater breed you will NEVER know!!!

She is sending pix this evening. One is being fixed this week and the other next week, hoping the male is fixed first cause I can't adopt him till stitches are removed two weeks after the surgery.

Those are really nice looking dogs.
I have always wanted one, but I already have too many animals.
You hear stories of them being vicious but it just goes to show you that they can be super sweet when provided with firm training and TLC.
good luck with the new dog Jena
