Fun, fireworks, FIRES Friday the Fourth
Morning
Hope everyone has a good day. I'm sure I'll be running from fire to fire today and drunk to drunk tonight...
Hoping Holly and the kids make it home safe tonight.

HAPPY JULY FOURTH, Everybody!
Hope, hope the family arrives safely.
Doug, get some rest as the girls and herd will run you ragged.
Wishing everybody a safe and fun Fourth.

Happy 4th everyone
Thanks for that coffee, George. Patriotic pancakes are on the side.
Hop - I hope that Holly gets home safely. Hopefully you policed the area for the arrival.
EWwww, Doug, on looking at next week. So go take your nap already, you have hords coming over.
Glad to hear that Erin is doing better
Off to Dad's in a minute. I'm making German potato salad like I had in Southern Germany: thin slices of potatoes, green onions, and a light vinigrette. Then to a large event nearby.
See you all later.

I woke up early and started to get up like I had to go to work... glad I came to my senses fast enough. I went back to bed for 2 more hours, and it was great.

So for all the extra sleep I enjoyed, I'm dying now after a three mile run. It's been a while since I went on vacation, got lazy, and then sick, so I guess the punishment was well deserved.
Whats everyone doing today?

Good morning and Happy 4th everyone!
Kelli... whenever I taught mine I made sure that I'd let them out right before I went to sleep to go do their business. Then I crated them overnight in an area of the house where I couldn't hear them if they whined. It took about a week, but they got used to my schedule instead of pestering me every morning unduly. It wasn't long before the crate wasn't needed anymore and they figured out my body language and knew the clues that signaled I was getting up for good and it was ok to get ready to go outside. Others may have more suggestions, but this has always worked for me.

thanks Ann - I somehow need to sound proof his crate it's on a wood floor upstairs pretty much over my bed so I hear the crate noise more so than his whining or barking
