Foxfire or IE


so anyone use Foxfire?
i have IE now, but downloaded foxfire. i did not install yet, still not sure about it. i am also using comcast cable for internet access.

do tell , is it worth tossing out IE?

Firefox for sure. For many reasons it's the browser to use. From time to time I still use IE for certain websites that have been designed to be used with IE. But for the most part I've transitioned myself to Firefox and Thunderbird (email client).

firefox works great after you do the speed update to it. it makes it load pages so much faster after you do that.

I've been using Foxfire for a couple months and I love it. I will never go back to IE. I love the built in pop up blocker.

Firefox comes highly recommended, I am looking at maybe using another O/S when I get my new puter
As long as you use Windows you can never c completely escape IE

i did download it, i thinki will play with it this weekend. Doug the download was very fast ! only 4.4 Mbs total..
does any one use the thundermail?

I downloaded it last nite, and trying it out, a lil work to get used to it, and after i go to a site a few times, and it knows where i been, it seems to work a lot faster than IE,,,,
Will see how i like after a while,,,

Ok I can't get "insert link" to work with Foxfire. What am I doing wrong?

well i installed FF and it seems to run okay.. i do not see much differance in speed at all.
i was able to reset my homepage. but i usally use the comcast shortcut but that is IE so i do not know how to change that.
dislike the hand icon for the mouse...

what is the insert link Rick?

, the "insert link" is the faint whitish icon IN the center center address box(i think that's what you call it) run your mouse over it,(on left side of addy box) it'llpop up "insert link" bla bla bla,,,
think that whats Ricks talking about

I didn't even know about that Jeff. I was talking about this button.

It doesn't work for me with Mozilla. I get a message that says "Mozilla requires that you must select some text for this function to work". What's up with that?

I dont have that icon but im assuming you must have something on the clipboard for it to work. tims did you do the speed upgade I posted a link to?
