I've been looking into improving the output of the fireplace without buying a fireplace insert at a cots of maybe $1500 or more. I dislike the fireplace inserts because they really cut down on the size of the wood you can burn. And they reduce the fireplace viewing window
I've been looking at the fireplace tube heaters
Without a blower (I can connect a blower) it's about $483 for a 7 tube unit. It puts out about 78k BTU according to the specs
I'm also wondering how hard ti would be to have a shop cut & bend the tubes to my specs & connect them to a fireplace grate myself
1 3/4" tubes that are aluminized steel
Also wondering if these would be better made out of stainless
Anyone ever used one of these?
