FINALLY some good news about the car.
Jeff, pulled the distributor cap today.
The old cap actually had a thin plastic ring that acted as a gasket between the rotor body/distributor and the cap. Guess what. It was totally destroyed.
Therefore, when the bag got knocked off the distributor while degreasing, grease got washed into the cap and destroyed the low point of the cap (which happens to be the number 3 contact, since the rotor runs off of the spinning exhaust valve camshaft opposite the timing gear). So, one new distributor cap and some clean spark plug contacts later, she runs like champ.
Thanks for the help Jeff and Doug, will get some FI cleaner tomorrow.
