well, siamese are known for being vocal, a trait many don't really love...but i've encouraged my kitten to "speak" to me so much, that she does ALOT of mewing at me! i say "what?" and she says "mew" i say "what? what is it?" and she goes "mew".....we keep this up until my boyfriend threatens to call the looney bin on me LOL
i've been plying with this one certain toy with her, and we now have this game where i'll jiggle it in front of her & then take it away really fast & she looks around for it, and looks at me & "mews" till i play some more....she also actually "mews" when she wants to get up on my lap, or play, or eat...i love it!!! right now she has only got a little kitten voice, but being a siamese, her voice will change to a deeper hollow MEERROW, like i said, many think it's annoying, but i think communication is important !!!!!

Very nice looking cat Ann-Marie!! We have a 28lb cat and it does not meow like a normal cat! It is a house cat and never goes outside because I would be sneezing like crazy from the stuff it would bring in from outside!! Johnny

hi shirley..
the new tank project is being held off because i don't dare to repair the leaky tank i bought, considering if the lady had lied about it leaking, she may have lied about copper. i have to save my $$ & buy a brand new tank, plus brand new lights, and my boyfriend lost his job 'cos the resturant went under with no notice, so things are a bit tight, not uncomforablt, but not allowing for extra purchases right yet...i hope to be starting my new tank in the fall....

Hi Ann-Marie,
Thanks for the update! The things you have will certainly keep until you are ready.
My son, Troy, thought he'd have to put off his next salt tank for about a year, and it ended up being 9 years instead!!! We ended up going through a LOT of unexpected changes and moved several times, with no place to put a salt tank and properly care for it, not to mention afford it! In the meantime, his 30-gal became home for a Corn Snake for about 8 years! So, when you mentioned your boyfriend's interest in a snake, I thought, yeah, we did that...Pitre died of kidney cancer at the age of 11, and after being the subject of a still-life all day for Art classes and being a member of my 6th grade classroom, usually out of his cage and wrapped around a student during creative writing assignments, and he just brought so much joy to the people who met him. He was a red albino and very pretty.
Take care,
Shirley
