finally!!!

My sister is getting married!

October 2007 is when it's occuring. They're down in FL right now and he proposed down there. Oh finally! They've been together 5 1/2 years and they have owned a house together for about two years now. It's funny, they'll be together for 6 1/2 years when they get married, and that's how long Kevin and I were together when we got married! So now I have to remember to save my one whole personal day for the year for the friday before the wedding! It's about a 5 hour drive one way, we're here by Green Bay, WI and she's in a burb of the twin cities, MN.

Oh happy happy joy joy!!!

It's about time!!! Congratulations to your sister, Jessica! I'm sure they will have a long and happy marriage.

Man round these parts there is common law stuff. Glad they are making it official though and the long engagement might be a good thing. A lot of folks do it the wrong way and get married way too soon.

Long engagements are a good idea! What's the rush?

Long engagement? That's how it is up here! Kevin and I went to book things in January of '03, and the first date that matched up for a spring wedding for both hall and "church" (nondenominational) was May 1, 2004, so that was our wedding date. A year and a half is the norm around here, simply because everything is booked up that far in advance.

THANK YOU for all the well wishes!!!

So what kind of wedding. Little hippy thing or event of the century?

Can you ask her at which point in that long engagement did she leave her nail polish over and hang up good towels?
