Fall something someplace

So I stepped in a mud puddle and missed the Tom thingy but hope to see us all get together at the end of summer.

I am in the middle of nowhere and can line up a venue but it is a million miles from anyplace next to Jellystone. I can line up a luxury cabin that can take on 18 but this place is so remote.

It is up to Tom or maybe someone on the coast on the NE whether we can impose. All I can bring is a few coolers of shellfish and possibly a keg or two of Guiness and Harp along with either a date if I get one or my dog Blitz.

The west coast is still an option but this is a down South base it appears.

Not sure if you watch Iron Chef or not but I am arranging a mystery ingredient (and some herbs and spices and what goes with). Bring some big old pans and some smooth rocks. No it is not lobster, but involves butter in some way.

Someone will need to pick up a few boxes of something in dry ice locally. It might have to be flown in but that is not a worry.

If you guys all have plans that is fine...I just want to see the Hunley in Charleston, need to visit an old timer in Alabama just outside Georgia and want to see the Georgia aquarium. A battlefield or two seem interesting as well. I just brought up Toms to get a ride in a really fast car. Don't tell him okay.

I would love to host one here, but I am about 4 hrs from the majority of Portland Reefers and 3 from Robert

Oh IF I can convince the wife to buy the winning Lotto ticket, I will offer you a rise in a fast car, be fore warned you'll want earplugs, there aint no radio but with no top its AC'd

There was talk of a crab feast at Mike's in the middle of September.

But he is married now and that changes everything.

Sounds good, tho if some redhead makes it to the shindig, we will be taking turns flipping burgers and nailing up hurricane panels

What is the typical temps and humidity in Fla during the "winter" ?

Humidity is 30 to 50% and temp is 60 to 80 deg here near the bottom of Florida. North Florida gets cold like in the 40's and 50's and thats thermal underware, gloves, hat and any other warming device....

I am down for Florida if someone can host a few folks. To save on airfare we can fly into Atlanta and rent a van. I really want to see the Georgia aquarium then we can cruise on down.

Plan B is crash in on Doug.

You guys are always welcome here but I live in the sticks. The grocery store and the whole town roll up the streets Sundays and our blue laws are worse than the South. Polygamy is sort of okay though...that is all I need is ten wives.

The Hunley exhibit is neat. Hard to believe that human beings could fit in there!

It would be neat if you could come East, Perry, but crashing at Doug's has a certain appeal

I am headed to South Carolina to see a few of you prolly Septemberish and to see the Georgia aquarium and the Hunley. Not sure if flying or driving yet.

Gonna go visit Doug and Robert too pretty soon. That is a little 12 hour hop.

This trip will revolve around seeing the BMW facility in Spartanburg if anyone on this forum knows anything about that.

No idea who might be tagging along..if anyone. No rush here.
