Neat idea, Cath!

The leaves haven't really turned here on Rocky Top either. Normally, this is the peak time, but weird weather has had its effect.

This is a view of the mountains yesterday as FishGirl and I went exploring. Taken From the Roaring Fork Nature Trail with Ski Mountain above Gatlinburg in the background.

actually the mangroves are dropping their leaves! and we have the finches, cardinals, and other migratory birds back too. If this is any indication, you guys are going to have a rough winter up there.

Wow Dick, that is one aspect of my recent trip I miss. Trees with leaves, not needles as far as the eye can see

Ahhh...the great deciduous forest of the East Coast. Beautiful pix, guys! I'll wait a couple of days.

I do love the smell of firs and pines, though...

The trees in central Iowa are just now hitting peak.. Shame it is raining.. If it clears off this weekend I will go out and take some pics.. Fall colors are beautiful but decline into white in the midwest.. Give me spring colors anyday..

(I do love the smell of firs and pines, though...)

Right Cath, Nothing like the smell of a pine forest on a cool damp morning..
