Equine Nano's

Hi all,

I'm entered into this years nano build-off but I have another "nano" passion in my life that I want to share. These are my miniature horses and miniature donkey.

This is my stallion 'Ozymandias". He's 4 years old and measures 29 inches...don't tell him that though...he thinks he's a Clydesdale LOL. He's madly in love with a full sized Quater Horse just down the road and tried to round her up for his herd everytime he sees her. You've never seen anything as funny. Silly thing is ...she likes him too and has no idea she's twice his size (or more)

This is my mini donkey "Nonki" (that's Japanese for "happy go lucky") She's 29 inches tall and 6 months old. She'll most likely grow to be about 32 inches tall. My plans are to breed her to Ozy one day for a mini mule (actually a Hinny when the sire is the horse)

and this is my mare "Twoie". She's 5 years old this spring. She's 30 inches tall. Last spring she lost her baby and we nearly lost her. She was in intensive care for 2 weeks. She can't have anymore babies but other than that she is back to her old self. I made this youtube movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywQ__EUjRI0 for her last year. It was made on her worst night. The vet said there was nothing more they could do for her and she was really suffering. We'd made plans to take her to the vets the next day to have her put down. It was devastating (as any of you with pets know) When we got to the vets the next day they ran one last set of tests...for the first time in weeks they showed a very slight improvement. She got better from that point on and will have a home with us for life.

Thanks for letting me share my "other nano's"

I wasn't sure so I just Mapquest'd it. MQ says 4 hours...I didn't think it was that far but it says just over 200 miles.
