Electric Guitar Question..
this is gonna sound stupid..but ive been playing for 4 years & everytime i get it looking good & all tuned up...the pick-ups fall in....it still sounds the same so what are they really good for.
there is no one in my area to talk to about this so i decided to go online for some help. even the local & chain music/music fashion store employees dont know anything about guitars, & i never took lessons.

not sure of you model guitar but they should have a mounting bracket and screws on both sides of the pickup to hold them in. they are hieght adjustments and if you let them out too far they fall apart.

its the center screws on both sides. if you move the pickups closer to the strings, you get a little more volume and slightly less pick noise . but to close and it will cause subtle changes in tunning and intonation.

1 short cable in a level adjuster nob on my guitar., nothing wrong with the amp as far as i can tell. only my small effects amp does it..my giant Randall wich has no effects does not..so i dont think its the guitar wire. i had the small amp checked out & he said nothing was wrong...
but i guess thats why he went out of business
