Elbow Tendonitis - Tennis Elbow

Anyone every have Elbow Tendonitis - Tennis Elbow?

I had it just over a year ago and went to the Orthopedics and they gave me a Cortisone shot. That hurt for days but worked winders after that.

This year we bought a house and I had the lovely chore of cleaning up the leaves. Using the leaf blower and rake I must have tore the muscles in arm/elbow area again.

I called around for doctors to get me in this week but all are booked solid for next 2 weeks.

Any self remedies? Ibuprofin, Alieve dont work. I need something until I can get to a DR. This hurts really bad this time too. Swolen and etc.

I can drink some Vodka but I dont think my company would like that or the police when driving to and from work.....

I had it in Highschool. An arm brace REALLY tight above the elbow seemed to lessen the pain as I remember it. I got it armwrestling a HUGE girl at camp and I swam so it was a real pita. anything over the counter that will reduce swelling should help as well... go for 1000 mg. That should cut some of the pain and inflimation as well. Ice should help too if it is really swollen.
