What is Biodiesel made of? I was behind a Trimet bus the other day running that stuff and boy did it stink. I about suffocated.

I think at this point its Diesel cut with vegetable oil, not sure of the percentage, but expect to see more veggie based fuels available in the future for diesels, the production of veg oil capability already is in place and less energy greedy than distilling grains and stuff to produce alcohol for fuel.

I'd really like to see ethanol take off to give oil a bit of competition. There is a station near my work selling E85 and I see a lot of vehicles now with the Flexfuel badges on them.

My puny non M3 Beemer still specifies Super. The tech at the dealership said that I could run regular on long trips without damage due to the altitude, but I tried it and it looks like the Germans put in a fun reducing algorithm into the computer to compensate. On two trips of 800 miles I got identical mileage but no pick up, so I run only Super now.

I have to run supereme in my 03 honda accord it has a v-tec engine that reqiures it. I tried to put mid grade in it once and wound up at the dealership because I thought something was wrong the car was running awful.
