One of us has to start up a 10,000 gallon shark tank for violent criminals.

Heh! Actually, the men just drink bourbon with ice unless it's Sunday, then they put the mint leaves in so they can go to church...

SUPPOSEDLY the women drink julips to keep their breath fresh...

Witfull: NICE AT 100 YARDS! (and I really like the sign!)

John: we've been kicking around the idea of a fall picnic here in Walnut Grove, If you get down for that, you won't be able to go downtown, too much barbeque and beer here...

What's funny is that I can actually "hear" Tom saying that

Regarding that crime prevention sign... when my friend Calicia bought her first house, she lived alone. She is a pretty good shot, and she'd been to the range for target practice and brought her target home... coincidentally the target was the exact size of the window on her back door -- for which she had need of a curtain...

She taped it up over the window, with the following caption,

"Think twice before breaking in"

She had no problems

She's got Mr. 38 and Mr. 9mm

TD,
A Fall Picnic sounds great! What dates do you have in mind?

dunno yet, I have a lot going on in Sept, but mid to late october when the leaves change and a big bonfire/barbeque might jut be the thing.

I had been planning a road trip, but have decided to make the trip wait until the roads here are cold, then drive either to florida or to New Orleans, after all, the trip is the best part!

--Self Edited--

Wasn't trying to ruffle any feathers, just pointing out some things that failed to get mentioned.

This might be going rapidly from redneck humor to political commentary. the problem is that those who see the other side may feel the need to retaliate and then it becomes a no win situation
Not wanting to quash freedom to express but if you take the begining of the thread, it was meant as satire and not as particular stand. Notice how the thread degenerated into food, as usual By laffing at our selves we keep it light, and no one takes it serious or gets feathers ruffled.
Same with sharing adversity, those who are inclined will offer prayers, those who arent esp religiously indoctrinated will offer best wishes or condolenses.
Its all about humor, which we need more of, and support when that is needed, but when it gets too pointed then it tends to polarize, and by common agreement we find that we get along better by keeping some things to our selves

Nope no guns...just a bow and arrow..I don't care what anyone says about terrible Ted though when he was lowered into a concert back in the 70's there was no substitute.

I would keep the ladies away though.

*Sigh* dang it there goes another thread off on a tangent
