Diving in Riviera Maiya or Ocho Rios??

Hello all !!

My wife and I are planning a trip to either location and are wondering how the diving is? Niether of us are PADI certified so we will get the crash course at the resort and stick to depths of about 30'. Thanks for your time.

I've dove in Ocho Rios and it was pretty lame, the divemaster was spearing fish while I was diving! All the coral was damaged and there were few fish. But above water it was beautiful. I only went on one dive as a result of it being so bad on that one, maybe others have a different opinion.

Thanks yardboy. We were there about ten years ago (before we got into this hobby) and went snorkling. I almost forgot, I quess thats how nice it was. Now diving in Maui @ Black Rock.... thats a different story.
