Day off (hopefully) Friday
Woohoo got a paid day off, although Cynthia still has to work.
Off to wash the car, then get tires and an alignment on my Bimmer. After that it is a new keg and modifying my kegerator so the tap sticks out more to accomodate the new handle my wife ordered.
A painting project is after that, doing some dressers from upstairs. Hope my power painter survived the winter.
Hope you all have a great day!!!

Good morning, everyone
Coffee is on. In celebration of Vinnie flying home, I decided to make strawberry and blue berry shortcake with whipped cream for everyone's breakfast. Gotta get that red, white and blue thing going.
Perry - bummer on Cynthia having to work...such is life as a vet. How about some photos of that paint job?
Vinnie - What did posted about your flight home! Have a good one.
See you all later today.

I got shafted by work. I work Monday thru thursday but this week it was Monday thru Wednesday bc of the holiday. We have to have weekend coverage and it wasn't my turn but the guy who's turn it was is on vacation and the 4 alternates behind him had vacation too so it landed on me. I'm working Thursday to Thursday now. Yesterday would have been my day off but I had to work. It was holiday pay so oh well.

Not a bad idea but double and a half for working a holiday is good too. Just the other 7 in a row for straight time doesn't sound too good.

Doug I just got deal of the century. The guy at Discount gave me a break when I wanted the new Continental Sport Contact 3's. We can get snow anytime so there is a little risk with ultra high performance summer but got the Jeep for freak snow. For winter I run Winter Sport 3D Dunlops in a "skinny" 16 inch size on other rims. Got the warranty from the Kumho's and trade in on the front 2 all applied, internet pricing and the warranty out the door for $460.00. The tires list for $179 each at thetirerack.com
The only problem is that the free GPS offer they are running on Conti's applies to purchases over 500 bucks. I am going to submit it anyway with a note that the price would be 600 before the discounts and cross my fingers.
Well since we have BBQ guests tomorrow I am holding off on the painting and picked up oil and a filter for Kermit. They had full synthetic Valvoline on sale for only 3.99 so I am switching over. It has 140,000 miles, but new seals so hopefully nothing will get jacked up by the switch.
Good thing I got to the liquor megamart early. I forgot that because of the holiday kegs would go fast, but they had one quarter barrel of Fat Tire not reserved.
Now if my four corals from Live Aquaria Diver's Den arrive in great condition FedEx it will be a Red Letter Day.

Don't be surprised if you get a few oil leaks. A lot of times when you switch to synthetic after 60,000 miles you can create leak. Where hunks is built up from your regular oil might get cleaned up by the synthetic causing a leak. Just a warning.

I had to replace an oil pump when I tried synthetic on a well worn motor. Cleaned out all the gunk and the pump could not keep pressure afterwards.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

We have done regular oil changes on the Jeep but hope nothing goes wrong. The valve cover gasket and rear main seal are less than 5000 miles old. Anyway I guess I'll change it and see what happens, and fix anything that does break.
With our weather extremes and Kermit being alternated between blizzards and serious rockhopping combined with low miles I am hoping synthetic will let us go six months at a time.
