I hope they all hatch, too! Trevor was house-sitting, called and announced it asap that he discovered it, within 12 hrs at least of them being laid, and only 10 were laid then... so he put wet towels on them, kept them misted but he was working 9+ hr shifts... so we got the vermiculite asap that we could today after arriving home last night... 6 look excellent. the rest are slightly to more than slightly caved in due to drying out too much. The 6 that look good are much improved since yesterday. If they others fill out, and no mold appears, then we'll have a high hatch rate. I think we'll have least have 6+!..
They take a LONG time (HOURS!) to crawl out, so I'm sure I can get some video of that, and definitely photos.

Here are pics of the parents, who happen to be siblings of Troy's first snake, Pitre. We did not name "Sam&Ella" btw... hear the pun?
we gave them to a friend, whose kids "outgrew them", and fortunately he offered them back to us... b/c in the meantime, Pitre died of malignant kidney cancer at the age of 11.
Sam is the brighter one and Ella is the darker one.
The "snakeseverywhere" pic is a photoshop, of course, that Troy did... in his "spare" time... at IU.
I re-uploaded the first one, which is now probably the last one.. the one in the CD holder...Can you see me now?

It takes many hrs for each one... the egg cracks slightly, a bit of juices bubbles forth, and a tiny nose slides slightly in and out forever before it finally slithers on out...!
Which pic does not work? You can see the eggs pic, right?
Then there are three thumbnails...
I edited the three pics... can you see them now?

For somebody who doesn't like iddy-biddy spiders, snakes don't seem to cause you any fear!!
Love that 'snakes everywhere' shot! A picture like that is bound to deter any unwanted guests at your house!!
Hope all of those hatch, Shirley! Just fascinating.

Thanks for asking! All 13 are doing GREAT! All fat and solid, none are "shriveled" and no mold at all! Probably due mid-August or maybe sooner. I'll be out of town Aug 8-12, but Steve will be here.
