Hehehe me too, Tim. I did buy it already, but it's not decorated. Got a small cedar tree that I can put on the coffee table.

None here,,,,'tween the lil buggers in the house, and me and the wife workin',
no holiday decorations the last yr or so . Kinda did not make sense, with the wife in Indy days b4 Christmas , and me workin the holiday,,and since it's just us,,,,well,,,,,
Go figger, 10+ yrs ago , when i was datin' my soon to be wife,,,she always had a real tree, (i was raised on those tin foil fake ones, first the silver, then the green) Mom's got a fake "real" lookin one since,,,
First couple o years of marriage , we got real trees, went to the tree farm near us, and picked one out,,,i teased her about it, but really enjoyed the aroma that filled the house,,,,I got used to the real ones right away, and enjoyed them,,,
last couple of years, We got a fake one,,,used it a few years,,,then two years ago we did not put one up,,,we had the 4 new doxie puppies at the time (plus the 4 adults) so a tree of any kind was out of common sense question,,,
and the trend continued, i quess,,,,
So everyone hurry up and post your pics,i need a fix!

( I just got a idea, I'm gonna decorate a pine tree outside,,,,,I'M HAVIN' CHRISTMAS! )

I can't get back far enough to get the whole tree in the pic. So far we've only lost one ornament to the dog.

I'll say! Looks good to me! One time I decorated a lovely piece of driftwood when I was in grad school. Not as bleak as it sounds, but it sure didn't have the Christmas tree aroma

hehehe... a long time ago, my hubby and I had a tree that shed all its needles....by Christmas Eve the tree was completely bare!! No lie. So we went out and got another and trimmed it that night. That was kind of fun in a way!

Rick!!! you lost an ornament to one of your dogs? I shudder to think...

We didn't end up putting one up this year either. Last year when we brought down all the christmas ornaments we stored them in my parents basement because we figure we would be in a house by summer. Well since my financial invester is in prison and being charged by the FBI things got put on hold so I really don't have room in this apartment to put up a tree since putting up my tank. I think the tank is a little more difficult to move.

The six years I was divorced my kids and I made a tradition of dumpster diving for a tree at the tree sales lot that closed a few days before Christmas. My wife now starts celebrating in September so the tree is up early. Last night coming home from midnight mass we passed a lot with a full dumpster and we nearly stopped! If was fun recollecting our yearly tree "search and rescue" missions!
