I never buy domestic anymore. Toyota may be higher priced but they also last forever. otherwise i would look at Nissan or a Benz (um... that's BLING to the city folk)

Kia and Hyundai have made order of magnitude improvements in quality from the early days which is supported by the JD Power survey with Hyundai in the top 10. The 10 year/100,000 mile warranty covered just about anything that broke on my Sportage and I was very happy.
Just think of your Korean car as a Japanese car made maybe six or seven years ago.
Honda and Toyota are the cream of the crop for gurlproof cars though, but expensive. Unfortunately they have no soul.
Camry's are built in Kentucky, Nissan's in Smyrna, Tennessee, and Mercedes and BMW have plants in Alabama and South Carolina respectively. Your new Ford or Chevy is likely built in Canada or Mexico.

Honda and Toyota would be my top choices if you want to buy japanese. If you want to to buy domestic Ford and Chevy are both pretty comparable. If you realy want to pony up BMW's are suweeeeet, I personally would like to have a BMW but I can't in any way shape or form justify the cost right now.

I am very partial to Toyota, i have had 2 and I love them, run forever and a half. But I also know Hondas and Nissan are good choices.
When you go to the dealer, don't go by yourself, bring you dad or uncle or any other man, I don't know how salepeople are in Canada but I do know how some are here in the states.

Combie...to be honest...Kia and Hyundai are 2 of the best made vehicles on the market right now. The South Korean's have got it down! This is no joke...I have a good friend that works on Hyundai's all day long and recommends them over any car out there, including Honda and Toyota.
I can't speak for Suzuki

Also, I have a '04 VW Passat, best car I have ever had! Great value at $25k...
I also have a '97 Pathfinder which has been a great vehicle...knock on wood. Only had to replace tires, brakes, exhaust and the timing belt. I have been thinking about replacing it recently, but it is paid off and has been good to me. If and when I replace it, it will be with another Nissan, but only because I like the fact that they have a good powerful engine.
My only complaint with the smaller SUV's (Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorrento, Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, etc...) is that they are underpowered. If they came out with a 250 HP engine I would be in. BTW, I test drove the '07 Santa Fe and '07 Sorrento and they are very nice vehicles...stylilsh and loaded at a great price and with an outstanding warranty.

I'd say Honda or Toyota as well. It's not unusual to see those cars with over 200K miles and still going. If you lived closer, I'd sell you my wife's Honda Accord. Nothing wrong with it, she wants an SUV now.

I dont agree I had a Kia and it was a piece of junk dont get me started the records show Honda and toyota lead all the other imports by far Kias and Hyundais only sell because they are cheap cars and you can tell when you own one for a while and there so called 100,000 warranty does not cover lots of things like relays etc.
