Broken Windows XP

Does anyone have a remedy for INTERNET explorer and Norton 2007 driver conflict??

I have tried the basic tricks ie selective start-up and turning on and off both windows and Norton firewalls.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Doug

Get rid of Norton, it's a piece of junk, and download the free version of lavasoft adaware.

Norton has always caused problems. I never use it in any way shape or form.

Some games have Linux ports, some games work under wine/winex, and some games don't work at all. I would be willing to bet that there is a either a linux port or a native application for everything that you do. Why would you want it? It's secure, stable, free, and not MS.

one suggestion is to quit using IE. Try opera or firefox.

Another suggestion would be to get a mac.

Thanks all for the great responses!

I'm not a gamer so it may be best for me to install opera or firefox.
But what about firewall and anti virus programs??

A hardware firewall is best, but Zone Alarm will do. Avast, AVG are two good freeware antivirus solutions. Personally I like Nod32. $50 for 2 years.
