Bourbon Pralines

This is a garawnteeed crowd pleaser

Bourbon Pralines
Gotta have clear skies for this. Rainy weather will ruin it. It's easy and fun

2 C sugar
2 C pecan halves
1/2 C plus 2 TBS buttermilk
2 TBS bourbon
2 TBS butter or margarine
Dash of salt
1 tsp baking soda

Combine sugar, pecan halves, buttermilk, bourbon, butter, and salt in 5 QT casserole (I use a huge heavy duty glass measuring cup since it has a handle). Stir well. Microwave, uncovered, at HIGH for 12 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes. Stir in soda. Nook it uncovered on HIGH for one minute. Beat with a wooden spoon just until mixture begins to thicken.

Working rapidly, drop mixture by rounded TBS onto lightly greased wax paper. Let stand til firm.

mmmm I'm hungry.

I used to have a killer recipe for Rumballs, but I can't find it

Guess I'll just have the rum instead

Wouldn't it be cheaper, easier and quicker to skip 90% of all that?
