Boston Fireworks Display
I learned a few things today.
1. A digital camera can be used to take pictures of things outside of my fish tank.
2. Taking pics of fireworks is a lot harder than it sounds
3. Working 10hr on the 4th of July stinks
Here are a few pics of the Boston fireworks, I would love to see pics from citys and town across the USA, so post those pics!
BTW, these pics do the display no justice. I took 700 pics and only 8 or so were usable. 3 of those 8 are actually pretty good.

These pics were taken from the top of my parents condo which overlooks Boston Harbor and the city.

From our view the FW would go off in between the Hancock Tower (to the right)and the Prudential center(to the left), which are the 2 main towers in the city. Not sure how well you can see the buildings in the pics though.

OK last one, the grand finale if you will. This one lit up the whole harbor, not a great FW pic but gives you a good look at the skyline.

Dont complain! You get to see fireworks.
My last twos consist of:
9pm Starting July 3rd to 9am July 4th. Home, back to work for a BBQ For an hour, 4 hours of sleep come back to work now once more at 9pm and I get to work till 9am Today/Tomorrow.
No fireworks or celebration for me. I suppose I can watch all the people setting them off from their houses. But Its not the same as those pics! Great shots mapster.
I can take a shot of the Kinkos "Open 24 Hours" sign. Im sure that would just ooo and ahh the socks off a slug!
Happy 4th everyone.

Wow!!! You did great with those pix, Mike. The last one would be pretty scarey if you hadn't combined it with the other fireworks. 700 pix to get 8.

Cool!
I love the one where the two pinkish-orange ones are low on the city skyline.
I didn't take any pics but did plenty of oooh-ing and ahhhh-ing!
