Bird Freaks - Read this please!

The wife and puppy got attacked by a friendly parrot this afternoon.

It has an id ring on. Inscription on the ring is TPA FL xxx.

We know squat about birds. It ate a whole lot of dry dog food and we gave it water too. Offered it fruit and it was scared of it. LOL

It was friendly, but couldn't get it to sit on finger. Nibbled on fingernails, but that's as close as it would let me get.

Anything we should do?

Should we try to catch it? There's lots of cats around and it doesn't seem to fly well. If so, how? LOL

I don't know about birds either but he's cool looking
is it hanging out in your yard or did you bring it in?

how about a big net?

I would catch it throw a towel on it and grab it be careful and take it inside and find the owner.

I think he knows what towels are for. He was much more skittish that time. Couldn't get close to him.
