you have a leaky car.

i really don't like the idea of this car. instead of all this crap they are putting out, why dont they give us a car that's affordable?
you know under 10k
Show me a RWD hatchback for 10k and I would be in heaven

But you don't really need a cover around your engine, its all about a good air filter. Your body mostly provides aerodynamics or in some structural integrity.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

What's not sensible about a RWD hatchback? Better handling, plenty of room, good gas mileage, simple mechanically. Put in a well breathed n/a torquey 4 banger or maybe a s/c I6 option....... I have to go I'm getting myself all worked up. I have a deep hatred for FWD, you know they looked at going back to RWD on Nissan Maximas, but research showed women would not buy it. My dad's X went to (this was years ago mind you) to look to trade her 3000GT for a Z3.... and she was shocked and appalled it was RWD. Jeremy had a very hard time being polite and respectful in telling her that it was a real roadster.

nothing in what you said was sensible

i was thinking 4banger sedan with leg room, like an accord or civic or camry. good gas mileage and cheap, those cars would sell faster then they could be made.

(remember that i live in a place with lots of snow)

(and i like the z3)

bah, I used to empty my truck bed and take the tailgate off in the winter, just to make it interesting. I think what you are asking for is a Korean car. I think you can get a nissan versa for around 10k. They even come in a 5 door. Trunks are really just a waste of space. hatchbacks are where its at! I mean I understand it in a coupe (which is not meant to be sensible) but a sedan just doesn't make sense to me.

sedans are FAMILY CARS hence sensible. and i like my trunk, it means less people see what is in my car and less likely to have my windows bashed out.

and nissan yuck!

*sigh* men and their cars. :P

I think the FR setup in the snow is the point I believe that it occasionally snows in Germany

My wife is unemployed and I am a mediocre engineer. It was 14K with 40K miles on it with a 5 spd, the Harmon Kardon stereo and leather seats without a scratch on it.

With Dynamic Stability Control, all season tires and reasonable driving skills it is just fine in the snow.

As Mr. English said....it snows in Germany too and they mandate winter driving classes their to get a license.

Honestly I would prefer if my gf drove a AWD. I had a buddy w/ a 2.5 RS (before they had WRX stateside) and it was pretty fun in the winter. Me, I like to slide a little. But tires and a manual make all the difference in the world. I used to have +2 upsize rims that were ultralite and wrapped in NT450 tires. It was super awesome on dry pavement but snow or ice on the roads and you couldn't use 1st gear at all.
