Bad place to run out of gas

This was 6 doors away 5pm yesterday.
I heard my dogs going nuts so I went out side to investigate and this is what I found.
They just missed the power lines and a bunch of houses!

Cool stuff Hu?

That's a much better spot than an apartment manager I had about 18 years ago picked. He managed to hang his ballon up on a very tall light poll, with paying customers on board! It made all the t.v. news stations and I would bet it cut into his business

Way kewl, I love balloons, I went to Reno several years in a row to photograph them. IF I lived there I woulda swapped him a propane tank off the grill to get him floating again

You can just see the purple van left of the balloon, that was his chase truck.
Swapped out the 100# tank and back up he went.
They were lucky, the surface winds were very light.

We went hot air ballooning out of Temecula, CA a few years back and the winds really picked up. We got dragged sideways on landing about 100 yards through a vineyard..what an e ticket ride. If you ever get a chance to do this do it...it is total quiet like you cannot believe up there and just imagine something 100 times more relaxing than watching the fishies...oh and you get to drink Champagne too. Also it is supposed to be incredibly safe and the pilots are FAA certified with hundreds of hours of training.
