Hello everyone, Its been a while since I posted anything of substance here. I am trying to get back into this but sometimes life is too full of other stuff...lol. This site still remembers me with my new email but I dont get the email notifications because I forgot my password(automatic) so I cannot update the user CP. I already contacted admin.

HI;
Its a very long story so I`ll try to make it short...lol. She was re admitted to the hospital in may and it was really touch and go for a while but, because of this and a new set of eyes and doctors on her we discoverd what was going on. She has a mitochondrial disease which really cant be treated or cured. This is something that is life long.It effects every muscle movement (volutary and involuntary) and she struggles to do the little things. She is on life support machines(which sound horrible) but it can be managed. As bad as this all sounds she is a beautiful and happy girl. We (as a family) are coming to grips with the reality of the situation as much as you can but it is still a challenge everyday.
Thats most of the bad news, the good news is she has certaintly made strides over the last few months and her awareness has increased 10 fold. We were told that she was "neurologicly deaf" and could not be helped...but 2 weeks ago after further tests we found her hearing to be near normal. (go figure).Somebody is smiling down on us.

Thanks for the update Chris - I've often wondered about her. I'm glad you all are coping and she is thriving. What a lucky girl to have such a loving family

Chris!! it's great to see you. And thanks for posting an update on Alex, complete with photos. She's a darling, for sure!

You have a beautiful little angel there. Hang tough! Like Doug said, she looks like she's a fighter and tougher than what she's going through!
