Am I the only one not enchanted with 24/7 news coverage and "Imbedded" reporters. Granted they are better at not asking stupid questions that wont be answered due to opsec, but still so much of what they are saying is speculation and repitition. I cant help but feel that this is kinda giving it a surreal feeling , that maybe the video game generation is comfortable. Remember the communications gear the Colonial Marines wore in "Aliens" where they have med monitors and helmet mounted cams? Something similar to this is evolving now, will it have webcam capability by the time its put into service
Sorry for the rant, my wife is glued to set and is forever asking me to xplain something, While I find the tech advances fascinating and I am tickled to no end that we can do this with the degree of precision, I can do without the feelings it brings out

I think it is goving the world a virw that has never been seen b4. I also believe it is showing that What was said years ago that "War is Hell" Maybe in the future this wil help prevent and possiably make it easier to win if necessary. general Joe Public can see what it is really like to be out and fighting for your country. I too have some reservations about it but I am enjoying it. I would much rather see the war footage than see all the protests gpin on in America that ppl are disrespecting the Flag so may ppl have died for.

I for one totally agree with Jeff. I believe the live coverage of war should show some of us cozy civilians sitting at home that war is hard, and war is brutal, and even if you are dominating, it is no easy task. We as americans need to be close to this war, and reminded of it every day so we remember what our president and these great men and women are doing for us. I do believe the media lets us know a little too much sometimes, but I also feel that Rumsfeld handled that pretty well the other day when he told them, "Do not give out coordinates!!!"
