After hours n hours of torturous learning, me thinks me learned something an' maybe can post something...finally.
This is a 23X24" oil painting called "Desert Sunbather". Managed to get this one into a couple of juried shows and it even took 'best of show' in one small local show. During my short-lived outdoor artshow career, I became so frustrated at my lack of sales that I actually tried to give this painting away and nobody wanted it. It's been sold since.

Chris, I really like how you finished it. It has a really surreal aspect and it also makes me think those dolphins are in a big tank- -but then, anything aquatic I see tends to make me think in terms of how to keep it in a jar, anyway!

Oodley = The perspective you chose on your Cactus with Lizard painting --- and the big sky background.... It's just amazing and stunning and everything everyone else said!
Chris - It's all been said - I love the imagination and freedom in your Dophins painting...
Again, I only saw these today, Sat. My home computer network went down for three days, but I still got email...just no email auto-notices from TRT...so I found your art by just going back to the thread out of curiosity...GLAD I DID!!

Ok guys and gals! I know this is not painting but wanted to show my wife's gift to me again in case some missed it!! She worked over a year to get this done and she is a very talented craft person in her own right! Every pic was cross stiched and done by hand and you have to admire the hard work since she has severe arthritis in both hands!! So here is the pic:

Johnny, The quilt is fabulous. Please be sure to tell Pat! I'm not much of a crafts person, especially anything as tedious as sewing, but, I have tried enough to fully appreciate what it takes to produce something as nice as that-and with arthritis to boot! That's dedication!

Here's a watercolor I did of the Nubble Point, ME, light house, from a New England trip a few years back.
If you're familiar with Edward Hopper's work, I think he copied mine!
