Chris-
I happen to know you have some of your art on the web...come on...show and tell

Uhoh... umm... hmm, well... I dunno. The only reason you know is because Jerel nagged me into showing it in the chat room .
Shirley,
Beautiful images! The composition is right on...
And D!ck, I had no idea! Wow. Hopefully you've inspired your daughter to give painting and art a try! We have to keep the practice alive, you know .
Best,
Chris

Gee, thanks Chris! I've never posted any of my art work before...I'm kinda quiet about it. My mom and grandmother were artists and I doodled through nearly every class in grade school, and then found my grandmother's oils in the basement when I was 11 yrs. old...
Thanks for the compliment...someday I hope to have time to paint again. I'd like to paint portraits of our birds...

Awesome Shirley!
OK, if you're brave enough to post artwork, I guess I will to.
14" x 12", Prismacolor colored pencil. Bad scan... had to scan it in two sections because the scanner bed wasn't wide enough (hence the line down the middle of the piece, one side is a bit darker than the other).

Oh my, Chris! That's absolutely stunning! I didn't know prismacolors could be used like that...Such texture and depth...I'm serious..this is just beautiful!
We need to set up a gallery of talents somewhere of TRT members, and people (like me) just might prefer to "shop" there rather than elsewhere!
Chris, I love your art! Can you show us more?

Chris,
Wonderful drawings......love the way you captured the flaked sails on the boat!
FishGirl is the real talent in the family! She's already won several awards in juried competition for children's art. She keeps a sketch pad in her back-pack and is always drawing. She gets her talent not from me, but from her mother. My wife has a MFA in clay sculpture and has taught art in college. I don't have much on this computer of either of their work but will get some together.
Here's one of FishGirl's whimsical fun sketches:

And here's one of my favorites of FishGirl's. She did this on the Computer in Paint when she was barely 7!

Dick, Fishgirl, Chris, Brooke, Ann-Marie...
I am so much enjoying the artistic talent and displays here...the gallery of feelings expressed in the art...I just find all this work stunning and very moving.
