Anyone seen the new Thunderbird?

We went to open house for my sons brand new Jr. High and there was the new Tbird brought back after 5 years (I think). That car was just begging to be on the road and not in the parking lot.

What a hot looking car!

We are normally so family oriented that I would never have one. Pam popped up and said "2 seater" just room for us! I nearly fell over. Wow! 6 more years and the youngest is out of the house. Sad but maybe we will have fun with just two of us too???? Never really tried that for along time!

I saw one at WalMart parking lot last week. They did a pretty good job of recapturing the original idea, tho I guess I am old traditionalist I was sick when the 58's came out, thought they ruined the whole idea. THe 61-63 where a sweet looking car for a big bird, esp the convertable with the roadster option. After that they just turned into big hog wannabe p**pmobiles till the sleek body style that was intro'd in the 80's. I liked that one, but as usual they improved it to death
On the subject of reinvented cars, the new mini would be a kick to test drive. I had a few in the early 70's and the thought of 170 hp superchaged with 6 speeds kinda gets my curiosity up
