Anyone know anything about Photoshop?

I have Photoshop 7.0 and Imageready 7.0. I have a picture that I want to make the subject color but change the rest to black and white. I think there is a way but there are just too many options. Too many layer buttons, and all kinds of things. Is there an easy way to do it?

Hi, Tasher,

I use PaintShopPro9 instead of PhotoShop but the process is the same. Make a duplicate layer, convert that to black & white, then use the eraser to uncover the section you want to be in color and you're done!

Here's a great free program for converting color images to b&w. Works better for me than the PSP9 conversion:

http://www.optikvervelabs.com/

I have PhotoShop 7 and the CS2 upgrade on disk but it's such a different learning process than PSP which I've used for years, I've delayed installing it.

Hope this helps.

Dick
