anybody have ferrets?

My girlfriend just aquired a ferret. I was wondering if anybody out there has one. I know they are/were illigal in certain states so that may eliminate a lot of you.

Well basically know of any good books/websites or just any good advice.

I've read a bit on the web but we'd like this little guy to be happy and healthy.

He already has his first shots and spaid/neutered (not actually sure if it's a he/she) She's actually gone to get it now so I can probably verify later.

a friend had a pair of them in highschool, aptly named Blitz and Loki

this little guy is very small and is an escape artist...

Girlfriend has huge problems with the smell and some other things. I don't think she's really cut out for having a pet...

We might have to find it a good home
(pet store has a no return policy)
he's a cute little guy though. gotta teach him to stop bitting! hehe it doesn't hurt but it's not good

I had a pet skunk for a long time years ago, They are very cool to but not legal in alot of state because you can't get them rabies shots. It was boxed trained just like a cat and very clean . but it had a slight skunk odor that never went away . I think farrets are the same as far a ordor. someone wanted to buy her and offered Me some good money so I let them buy her. she was not You normal black and white bit more of a brown/white.
