any windows 2000 experts?

whilr trying to un install a printer the uninstall program hung up.well attempted to install the printer, and even another one and it wont go, says print subsystem is busy and sometimes it has a spool error? is there any hope? thanks for any advice

im no expert but did you do the ctrl+alt+delete thing? go into task manager and see if you can end it there? also out of curiosity what type of printer, compaq??
