Another Poem
Written by a customer of mine
DEAR MOM
You are gone now
to that place
where all prayer begins, and ends.
There is a war again.
Many young soldiers are there.
It is much the same as long ago
when you prayed every day
for me.
If you can,
please pray for them.
I shall never forget your love.
Your hands upon my face.
Your tears when I came home.
Mother!
Please pray again for these young soldiers.
Pray, as though they were your Sons.
They are!
… and I believe that they are mine, as well.
I shall love you forever, dear lady.
I think I heard the gentle voice of God,
the day that you died.
Voice of Angels
saying.
'Welcome Home!'
