??? Profile Pics???

I am trying to put a pic of me into my profile area. the text says max size is 640 x 480 or 48.8 K (which ever is smaller).

Ok my pic is 640 x 480 coming from Photobucket which has resized it for me. but "Image is to large" why am i having such trouble putin my pic. the statment say which ever is smaller. the size is 640 x 480 and 91 kb so the smaller is 640 by 480. still wont let me upload it and why not.

The 91 kb is too big. I cant recall what the limit is, and i think it varies with your post count.

You need to shrink the filesize.....not necessarily the dimensions

well that's the thing about it. when i look at the "USER CP" in the "PROFILE PICTURES" it says 640 x 480 or 48.8k (which ever is smaller)

My pic is 640 x 480 (91 kb) but will not fit.

Now i did get a pic to fit but it is 320 x 240 (40 kb)

Why does it say which ever is smaller when it only cares about the size?

Maybe if it was 639X479 it would have fit

Kinda wrong that it says which ever is smaller. but really it says max size to be less than 48.8 kb.

Ok the largeset i am able the get is about 475 x 356 which comes to about 48 kb. on my computer that was about 49.5 kb but when up loaded to photobucket it turned to right at48 kb. Just look at my puplic profile.
