Pictures!
The first is the PVC compared to a fishing lure and thats the way i think i will place it in the tank. The fishing lure is about 5 inches long. The 2nd picture is the HOB filter im using attached to my 20 gallon snapping turtle tank. It has flow control on the top of it. The other picture is well my turtle had to just get in a shot.. haha

for the pvc ide do this.
get elbows ( 90 degree or 45 ) so you can take the pvc pipe and submerge it in the sand and have the elbows pointing out of the sand so its less of an eye sore

o so your saying have the whole tunnel underground and have places where it can crawl like up and out instead of straight out of the pipe? Do you think a small mantis would be able to get out that way? I can just turn the end tube in that pic and put more pieces one sec ill take pictures
