A hot one at that LOL I named mine a while back but forgot his name as I have too many pets. Lets go with Busta. This was another mantis I had but he got scarfed by my eel. I could not find him when I put the eel in but the eel tracked him down that night.

I wish I could get pics of mine up. The USB board on my desktop fried due to lightning strike, so I can't use my desktop right now, and that's where my pics are. My mantis was a G. ternatensis, named Mike Tyson. He passed about two years ago, and I've been looking for a new one ever since.

Hello, I hope somebody can help me :o)

I'm sort've new to keeping salt water fish, I've had my tank for about 18 months now, and have found & identified, (what I originally thought to be a pest!!) at least 3 Mantis Shrimps digging up my nice reef and jumping out at my fish!! I've had one small fish that has just disappeared and I'm guessing one of the Shrimps has got hold of it.. I have one massive one which looks to be brilliant greens & blues. After looking at these beautiful photo's, I am quite interested in capturing them, and keeping them in a smaller tank of it's own.. Could anyone help me with a way of capturing them?

You can pick up a mantis shrimp trap or you can make your own out of a plastic bottle. Make sure you invert the cone part of the plastic bottle and put a piece of food in there. They will go in but won't come out.
